Who I am: I love dogs (all of them, but especially my 3 rescues!), my two amazing nieces, and geocaching, especially internationally. I’ve done 2 cross country drives with my pups to Fairbanks, AK and have found geocaches in Paris, near Capetown South Africa, and multiple locations in the Carribean. I grew up in northern Michigan in the woods-Tip of the Mitt proud, but love Detroit!

Things I’m Supposed to Tell You: After clerking for Michigan Supreme Court Justice Marilyn Kelly out of law school, I’ve amassed almost two decades of in-depth experience in tax-based real estate finance, commercial transactions, and corporate law. I’ve negotiated commercial leases throughout the country for office, industrial, retail and flex space uses for multi-national companies, and have closed over $115 million in state and federal NMTC allocations across multiple states. I’ve been involved in multiple public-private partnerships between private entities and state, county and local participants. I close complex commercial real estate transactions, structure tax credit financing, advise tax exempt organizations and counsel businesses regarding legal matters with a practical perspective. I advise clients regarding national and local economic development incentives in commercial transactions and counsel small and mid-sized clients on organizational and compliance matters to support their growth and development.

I graduated from Michigan State University (GO GREEN!!) and am cum laude graduate of Wayne State University Law School.
